About me

Born in Munich, Germany, Romina attended university in Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands and holds a degree in Journalism and European Communication Studies. She always loved drawing and painting pictures and as a child one would usually find her behind a curtain of hair, drawing little animals and scenery.

Despite not choosing the path of art after university (she somehow ended up working in corporate finance in the City of London), her heart always stayed close to the creative world. She recently attended a course in Children's Book Illustrations at Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts, London) and, armed with the professionalism, focus and thick skin taught by the City of London, she is now venturing back into the world of creativity.

Her style of drawing is very quirky and personal - she loves to give her characters emotion and personality, making them endearing and easy to connect with.

Romina currently lives with her husband and young daughter in Southwest London and enjoys many fun trips to the local playground, Kew Gardens and the Wetland Centre in Barnes. Her greatest inspiration is her young daughter with her wild curly strawberry-blonde hair and her big cheeky-monkey grin. And her husband's marvellous poems!
